Tony Motogna led the way for the Borough of Waltham Forest Swimming Club at the Redbridge Gala, winning three gold medals in an overall tally of 12.
His treble came in the 200m individual medley (2.24), 200m butterfly (2.21) and 100m individual medley (1.06) The Gators enjoyed a successful weekend with almost every member picking up a personal best, with 79 recorded overall.
There were five golds, two silvers and five bronze medals won by the club’s members.
Squad coach Tony Hills said: “It was nice to see Drew Clark return to form managing several PBs, Jack Munden also performed extremely well.
“Both swimmers have been training hard in recent weeks and got their rewards – well done to all.”
Gators will be in action again at the Killerwhales Gala weekend, with the British Championships and Thurrock Gala taking place the following weekend.
