Paul Morley, playing off a handicap of 11, just squeezed home by a shot to lift the April Medal at Woodford Golf Club on Saturday.
Adam Taylor (handicap 10) claimed second place after a count-back from Mike Everitt (5 handicap). Both scored 72 net.
Club vice-captain Stephen Briggs romped to victory in Division Two in returning a score of 66 to comfortably beat the runner-up John Beecroft.
Coming in with 70 net score, the 18-handicap golfer suffered from a bad start when he lost his ball on the first. Third was 16-handicap Kevin Williamson with a 74 net.
