Premier Division
Newbury Forest picked up a point from a goalless draw at Rayleigh Town which could ultimately prove valuable in the long run.
Currently third-bottom of the top tier, Forest are now three points ahead of second-bottom Manford Way, who occupy the final relegation place.
Forest also have the advantage of three games in hand on their nearest relegation rivals.
Ninth-placed Buckhurst Hill also played out a stalemate, drawing 0-0 at May & Baker E.C.
The point leaves Buckhurst Hill in the middle of the pack with sixth the highest they can finish.
Division Two
Bottom-of-the-league Debden Sports are facing the very real prospect of relegation after Leyton Orient Advanced Soccer School (LOASS) romped to a 4-1 away win against them.
Michael Ryder, Simon-Paul Obooma, Anil Bugday and Abiola Balogun all found the back of the net for the visitors, with Rickey Andrews on-target for Debden.
Debden, who are rooted in the mire by two points, now head into their final fixture knowing only victory and a defeat for third-bottom Ryan FC will save them from the drop.
Ryan mounted a four-goal comeback at home to promotion hopefuls Basildon Town but ultimately lost out 6-4.
An incredible encounter saw visiting Basildon race into a 4-0 lead by the break, leaving basement dwellers Ryan staring down the barrel.
However, the home side rallied after the restart and four goals from Ricky White almost mounted an improbable comeback for Ryan.
Third-bottom Ryan know tenth-placed Roydon are down so long as their goal difference, currently -39, stays better than Roydon's -42 as the Harlow outfit have played all of their fixtures.
