Kevin Williamson captured first prize in the St George’s Day/VE Day special par-three competition in Woodford Golf Club’s 125th anniversary celebrations on Saturday.

He garnered 22 stableford points in the tournament where all nine holes were played roughly 125 yards from the green.

Runner-up was Captain Terry Chisholm, who beat Paul Evans on a count-back after both scored 20 points.

In the ladies’ competition run at the same time, Linda Wylde prevailed with 21 points, three ahead of Zuby Skinner.

Paul Evans won the seniors’ April medal over 18 holes last week in amassing 43 stableford points, one ahead of runner-up Hugh Williams.

Nick Rowe won the nearest the prize on the ninth while Ray Jones had the best first nine score of 19 points.
