Two East London Boxing Academy stars of the future were successful at the Redbridge Boxing Show on Saturday, both putting in excellent performances.
Muhammad Hassnan Ali, 12, was certainly pulling no punches. Facing the taller Billy Lee from the Bodyshots Boxing Club, Kent, Hassnan wasted no time in knocking out his opponent in the first round, causing the referee to retire Lee.
Ali has recently been working with his coach to develop a new punching style, which he worked to perfection during the show.
And ahead of his 11th birthday when he will start competing in matches, Zain Ali impressed in a skills showcase alongside Newham boxer Emmanuel Buttergig.
Last week Hamza Hajee-Shariff competed in the North East Schoolboy Championships where he beat the more experienced Billy Roome of West Ham Boxing Club.
Although Hajee-Shariff was later knocked out by a close points decision against a strong opponent, the young boxer is set for a bright future in the sport.
