Nick Rowe lifted the Captain’s Prize at the big day of the year for club Captain Terry Chisholm at Woodford Golf Club.
Rowe, the club’s competitions secretary, is on a roll at present having won the June and July medals in the seniors’ section.
He garnered 41 stableford points to pip David Rowell on the same mark after a count-back Both men had their handicaps cut by one shot, Rowe going down to eight and Rowell to 23.
Paul Moprley secured third place on 39 points, again after a count-back from Brian Meggs and Stephen Bland.
David Dupree won the nearest the pin prize on the short ninth hole while Paul Evans prevailed in the hidden holes event.
The ladies section competed over nine holes with Janet Beck triumphing with 18 points. Runner-up was Barbara Fitzpatrick with Zuby Skinner collecting the nearest the pin prize.
Captain Chisholm, a London cab driver, presented Captain's Day prizes at the clubhouse in the evening.
