Woodford Green with Essex Ladies’ men’s team placed fifth in the final British Athletic League Premiership standings after finishing second at Lee Valley.

Mark Dry and Andy Frost got Woodford Green off to the ideal start with a double win in the hammer.

Dry, who is currently in Japan with British Athletics preparing for the World Championships later this month, won in 72.12m before Frost took the ‘B’ string with 64.98m.

In the long jump there was further success as Ezekiel Ewulo came second with 7.48m (+0.9) whilst Tosin Oke claimed the ‘B’ string with 7.13m.

In the triple jump Oke won with 16.59m (+2.2) and Talasong Tshireletso wrapped up another double with 15.22m (+2.2) for the ‘B’ string.

On the track, Ewan Dyer recorded a personal best time of 52.10 to finish second in the 400m hurdles.

European Junior 100m silver medallist Joseph Dewar won the 100m at a canter with a time of 10.39 (-0.8).

In the 4x100m relay, Justin Duru, Omololu Abiodun, Jermaine Hamilton and Dewar won in 40.49, this season's fastest club team time in the UK this season.
