Redbridge drew 3-3 at Maldon & Tiptree in the Isthmian Division One North on Tuesday in a topsy-turvy game which saw the Motormen thrice equalise.

The Jammers went in front via Darren McQueen but Ronnie Winn levelled for visiting Redbridge seven minutes later.

Lewis Probert put the hosts back in front before Joe Gent equalised almost immediately.

Maldon went in front for a third time when Nnamdi Nwachuku struck. And in the 90th minute, Daniel Jones netted a third equaliser.

Ricky Eaton and Dave Ross' side travel to Brightlingsea Regent on Saturday (kick-off 3pm).

Waltham Abbey are still looking for the first win of the Martin Hayes reign after two goals in three minutes sent them to defeat at Soham Town Rangers.

Piers Wixon fired the Abbots ahead from the spot after 28 minutes but Soham's David Theobald struck twice quick succession after the hour mark to send the Abbots to defeat.

In the Essex Senior League, Wadham Lodge maintained their 100 per cent record with a battling win against Enfield 1893 at the Harlow Arena on Tuesday.

The win put the Walthamstow-based side up to the heady heights of joint-top with Bowers & Pitsea but their management team were quick to play down the achievement.

Coach Neil Day said after the win: "It's nice to get a couple of wins under our belt but as (manager) Tony Ievoli and myself have stated constantly, this season is about managing expectations.

"Those expectations have not certainly not changed just because we've won a couple of tight games which could have gone either way. Our focus and mindset will be the same whether we have six or zero points on the board."

Despite the low key-approach, Lodge manager Ievoli would surely have been pleased with how his team approached things on Tuesday night, Wadham dominating for long periods and ultimately good value for the win.

Steve Ellerey's long-range free kick settled matters on 51 minutes. Despite a late flurry of chances from Enfield, Wadham stood firm and few would have argued with the result.

Day added: "We've got a few candidates who fancied the free kick but Steve's a confidence player and really fancied it, it was a terrific strike and give's us a nice bit of momentum going into next Wednesday's local derby with Waltham Forest."

Meanwhile, elsewhere in the ESL Waltham Forest were crushed 5-0 at home by Barking on Wednesday evening.

Eden Nelson (17) and Tobi Adesina (21) gave the Stags a mountain to climb before Luke Foster (56), Sipho Mtyanda (81) and Ben Turner (90) wrapped up the win in the second half.
