Woodford Green with Essex Ladies' women finished seventh in the UK Women's Athletics League after a stubborn effort but will be relegated subject to ratification.

They came sixth in their final match but that means they will suffer relegation unless they receive a reprieve.

The only winner was Silvia Cruz, unbeaten in the league this season she won the javelin with a distance of 47.31m, despite an injury.

The best team performance of the day came from Megan Edwards. She claimed a personal best in all of her races. She was third in the 800m in 2.05.44, winning the ‘B’ string 400m in 56.01 and finishing second in the ‘B’ string 200m in 25.44s.

Moe Sasegbon jumped 1.75m in the high jump, she then jumped 5.40m in the ‘B’ string long jump and came fifth in the 100m hurdles with a time of 14.40.

Lucy Marshall took second in the hammer throw with a distance of 57.44m before finishing fourth in the ‘B’ team shot.

Sarah Busby finished third in the 100m with a time of 12.12.

Maxine Voutilainen stepped in at short notice to contest the 800m 1500m and the 3,000m, she finished seventh in each one.

Hollie Redman finished third in the discus throwing a best of 45.35m.
