Redbridge slumped to five defeats in a row in league and cup as they were thrashed 4-0 by Harlow Town on Bank Holiday Monday.

A hat-trick from Junior Dadson came after Fabion Simms had given the hosts the lead to condemn Redbridge to their third loss in the Ryman Isthmian Division One North this season.

The Motormen had previously begun the season well, picking up two wins and a draw from their opening three matches.

Following the three consecutive league defeats though, the side find themselves in 16th place in the division.

There was no joy for Waltham Abbey either, as they were beaten on the road by Cheshunt.

Abbey fell 3-1 to the hosts, who took the lead through Joe Kizzi midway through the first half.

Jason Hallett then doubled their lead before the Abbotts halved the deficit on the stroke of half time through Darelle Russell.

But Dave Hicks put the result beyond doubt with over half an hour remaining to leave Abbey without a win this season.

The side, who have two points, sit in 23rd place, just ahead of bottom-of-the-league Barkingside.
