Premier Division

Buckhurst Hill were beaten for the first time this season as they went down 4-3 to Kelvedon Hatch.

James Burt bagged a brace for the visitors Kelvedon, who now have two wins from as many games to start the season.

Lee Newton and Chris Neville were also on target for the away side in the seven-goal thriller.

There was disappointment too for Newbury Forest who were thrashed 5-1 by hosts Rayleigh Town.

Rayleigh, who like Kelvedon have a 100 per cent record, took the lead through Peter Beaumont before Tom Carter replied for the visitors.

But two goals from Brett Munyard in the second half, along with Ben Harries and Joe Villiers strikes, put Rayleigh out in front to condemn Forest to their second defeat of the campaign.

Division One

Ongar Town failed to pick up their first win of the season as Snaresbrook eased to a 5-0 victory away from home.

In the visitors’ first game of the season, Drew Barbier, Jamie Doyle, Jay Sendall and Mathew Shrubsole were all on target and an own goal capped off Ongar’s misery to complete the scoring.

The side now have one point from a possible nine.

Division Two

There was more doom and gloom in Division Two, as Roydon were stunned by last season’s Division Three champions Catholic United.

In a 9-0 rout, it was Dominic Binns who stole the headlines with a hat-trick.

There was, however, victory for Ryan, who grabbed a 4-1 win on the road at LOASS.

Division Three

Epping started the season well with a win over Leytonstone last weekend but were this week beaten 6-2 at Stambridge United.

Josh Clarke was on the scoresheet twice for Epping, but Lewis Cassar’s double, along with goals from Tristan Harris, Ryan Toovey, Max Catherall and Mark Skinner ‒ who smashed home from 30 yards ‒ put the result beyond doubt.
