Eton Manor lost 44-22 at home to Guernsey in National League Three in their closest defeat yet since promotion.

Crushing losses against Hertford and Tonbridge Juddian provided a tough introduction to life at a new level and although the New Wilderness side were beaten again on Saturday, they were much improved.

Next up for Manor is a visit to Colchester, the side who beat Jamie Connors' men to automatic promotion last season.

In London One North, Chingford suffered their first loss, going down 45-28 at Ruislip.

Woodford kicked off their London Two North West campaign on Saturday but were held to a 17-17 draw at Tabard.

Wanstead got off to the ideal start in London Three North East, beating Upminster 43-12.

Elsewhere in London Three North East, Epping Upper Clapton were 36-19 winners at home to Lowestoft and Yarmouth in their curtain raiser.
