Prokit UK Essex Olympian League
Division One
Snaresbrook move to the top of the table after a 3-2 win over Shenfield AFC.
Karl Lewis and Jamie Doyle were amongst the goals for the new leaders, who picked up their seventh win from nine while also finishing with ten men.
That victory leaves Snaresbrook top of the pile, two points clear of second-placed Leigh Ramblers having played one game more than their nearest rivals.
Senior League Cup Third Round
Division One side Toby overcame Division Two's Ryan 5-3 in an end-to-end encounter which could not be accused of being low on entertainment.
A brace from Lee Hills was added to by strikes from Tom Kearney, Dale Sands and Craig Roberts to secure Ryan's place in round three.
Top flight side Newbury Forest, currently marooned to the bottom of the Premier Division, were on the wrong end of a cup shock on the same weekend as the FA Cup first round turned up a number of surprises as they lost 6-3 to Division One outfit Hutton.
