London Raiders put a halt to their six-game losing streak in National Ice Hockey League Division One South with a 2-2 draw at Solent Devils on Sunday.

Alan Blyth’s side were soundly beaten 3-0 at home to Invicta Dynamos on Saturday at Lee Valley but bounced back to pick up the welcome draw on Sunday in Gosport 24 hours later.

Richard Facey put the Hampshire side in front early in the second period but less than five minutes later Slovakian import Marek Nahlik scored the first of his two goals to level.

Alex Murray restored the Devils’ lead just before the end of the second period but again the Raiders came back, Nahlik notching his second six minutes from time to earn the draw.

On Saturday efforts from Adam McNicoll, Joshua Condren and Eriks Ozollapa had the game wrapped up for Invicta before the half-hour mark as the Raiders were soundly beaten.

The Raiders will search for a win at home to Streatham Redskins on Saturday.
