Wadham Lodge crashed to a 3-1 defeat to lowly Greenhouse Sports in a game coach Neil Day wrote off as ‘a bad day at the office’.

Day said: “By and large we’ve been pretty consistent against teams near the bottom of the table, statistically there is every chance of ‘a bad day at the office’ and this was definitely ours.

“Credit to the opposition as well as they were excellent on the day and got their just rewards.”

Wadham’s bad day started in the first minute and the home side were two down with only eight minutes on the clock. Elliott Green pulled one back for Lodge, his first goal for the club, but Greenhouse rallied and run out worthy winners.

Day added: “The game’s gone now so it’s all about how we respond to the setback.

"If we show the right determination, commitment and organisational levels in the next three games we can set ourselves up for an exciting end to the campaign. The ball’s very much in our court.”
