AFTER winning the toss High Beach opted to field. Foresters looked to get off to a quick start, but were soon reduced to 53-3.
Scott and McGowan then set about trying to rebuild the innings putting on 60 for the fourth wicket before McGowan (13) was caught off Bear. Things looked really rosy for the Beach when young seamer Reece Hanna returned and bowled Scott (50) with a yorker.
But an undefeated 79 by Fletcher and a fine 47 by Halls, pushed Foresters to their final total of 241-6.
Beach's reply got off to an excellent start as they made 50 in good time, before Apps (8) was bowled by Scott, who finished with 6-42.
Of the Beach's middle order only Daniel Hanna (14) managed to get into double figures, while any hopes of a victory went up in smoke once Mickey Bear was removed for 58, despite the efforts of Sumner (14) and Hanna (21).
