London Raiders blew a three-goal lead to lose 7-5 at Milton Keynes Thunder on Sunday in their penultimate game of the National Ice Hockey League Division South One season.
Alan Blyth’s side have lost four in a row and 10 of their last 12 in the league. The Raiders were beaten 9-2 at Chelmsford Chieftains the night before as they limp to the finish.
Nick Poole gave Milton Keynes the lead after seconds before Seb Downing quickly levelled.
Michal Oravec netted on a powerplay and Downing added his second to put the visitors 3-1 ahead.
It was soon 3-3 before Marek Nahlik put London back in front, 4-3. Alex Whyte equalised almost immediately for the Thunder, though.
From there efforts by Ryan Coffey, Nidal Phillips and Jamie Line sealed the win.
A day earlier the Raiders were 4-0 down by the time Downing and Rio Grinell-Parke struck.
