Waltham Forest had a tough week in the Essex Senior League after their away match against Ilford on Saturday was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
Earlier in the week they fell to a 2-1 defeat at Wadham Lodge Sports Ground as goals from Bryan Kyungu and Adam Hunt sealed the points for RedBridge.
This result meant back-to-back defeats for the club following their 4-1 loss to Southend Manor.
At the time of going to press Forest were set to entertain Wadham Lodge tonight before taking on Barking at the weekend.
It’s also been a disappointing week for Lodge as their cup hopes were ended on Saturday.
Ely City made the trip to Essex to face Lodge for the place in the third round of the FA Vase and took another step towards Wembley with a 3-0 victory.
First-half goals from Alex Theobald, Kelvin Enaro and Tom Williams sealed the victory for the Robins.
It was always going to be a tough task for Lodge as the Spartan South Midlands League Division one outfit had won six of their last seven games.
Lodge play Takely on Saturday with a 3pm kick off.
