The East London Boxing Academy continued their recent success in the ring last Thursday, as they won six bouts at their first ever dinner show at the Prince Regent Academy.

The show was put on in conjunction with the Breyer Foundation, a charity which aims to raise money for community projects in challenging areas, and the main event saw East London club captain Jack Daily take on Na’im Mubarak from the West Midlands.

But Mubarak proved to be no match for Daily, who forced two standing eight counts within the first 30 seconds and he went on to easily beat his opponent in one round.

Already a Class A development London champion, Daily is now eyeing a national title in the near future, having reached the semi-finals twice previously.

Elsewhere, Uzair Maqbool continued his recent good form, as he beat Westside Boxing Club’s Kody Mellers, while Hamza Hajee and Ben Pascal extended their unbeaten runs after claiming victory in their respective fights.

The show also saw Usman Mawaz make his youth super heavyweight debut and the East London fighter certainly delivered, as the judges awarded him the win against Kristopher Horvoth.

However, Dawood Noaman couldn’t follow suit as he lost a close fought bout to Jermaine Adenji, although a rematch is already set to take place.
