THE agent of Arsenal target Miguel Veloso has sparked speculation that his client could move to the Premier League by claiming the midfielder is 'open to offers.'
The timing of the announcement could not have been any better, as Arsene Wenger admitted at the weekend that he is in the market for at least one more additiion to his midfield, following the departures of central duo Mathieu Flamini and Gilberto, as well as winger Alexander Hleb.
Arsenal have been linked with the Sporting Lisbon defensive midfielder in the past, and his agent, Paulo Barbosa is keen to advocate his clients' services to potential suitors, with Manchester United also known to have been interested.
Barbosa was quoted as saying: "He would be open to offers."
