MEDIA reports claim Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is on the verge of signing Norway’s IK Start midfielder Anthony Annan.
The Sun claims that the 22-year-old, who had been on the verge of joining Blackburn in a £2million deal, could now be set for the Emirates after Wenger made a late move to hijack the deal after Rovers failed to agree terms with the player.
The Ghanaian is reported to have the same playing style as international team-mate and Chelsea midfielder Michael Essien, which would suit Wenger down to the ground as he is reported to be looking for a holding player for that central role in his engine-room
