ARSENAL defender Kieron Gibs is on the verge of joining Championship outfit Reading on a season-long loan.
Both the Sun and Mirror claim today that the 18-year-old Left-back could be heading for the Royals as a replacement for Nicky Shorey, who joined Aston Villa last week.
"It is important we get the right person in. Gibbs is the sort of player Arsenal will loan out," Reading chief executive Nigel Howe said in the Daily Mirror.
"Signing a Premier League player for the season could be attractive to a club like ours."
