SPURS are though to be weighing up a swap deal for AZ Alkmaar's Sebastien Pocognoli with left-back Lee Young-pyo moving in the other direction.
AZ are understood to be big fans of out-of-favour Lee while Tottenham have been linked with Belgian defender Pocognoli recently after a number of impressive displays for his country at the Olympic Games in Beijing, helping them reach the semi-finals stage.
The 21-year-old is rated at around £6.3million and has attracted interest from a host of top European clubs, with Real Betis, Lyon and Newcastle all thought to be tracking the versatile left-sided player's progress.
Pocognoli has admitted he would relish a move to either Spain or England, suggesting Spurs have the edge over their competitors, especially with Lee as a heavy bargaining chip.
"The decision lies with AZ, but a chance to play in England or Spain would be sensational for me," said the defender.
