TOMAS Rosicky has released a statement through the clubs website claiming he did not set out to blame team-mates Gael Clichy and William Gallas for Arsenal's title failure last season.

The Czech international claims that his quotes have been miss-represented in the English press this morning.

The Sun ran a lead story today in which Rosicky was reported to have slammed both Clichy and Gallas for their actions during the 2-2 draw at Birmingham on February 23, which was seen to have cost the north Londoners the Premier League.

But the 27-year-old now claims what he told reporters in his homeland has been taken out of context by the English press.

"I would never blame individuals for the team not lifting a trophy,” stated Rosicky.

“We are in it together. We win as a team and we lose as a team. As individuals, we all make mistakes and the message I was relaying to a Czech newspaper was that we are more experienced now and have learnt from last season.

"We came so close last year to winning something and we will be giving it our all to win a trophy this year."
