DIMITAR Berbatov's dream move to Manchester United looks to be in jeopardy with Spurs refusing to budge from their £30million asking price.
The 27-year-old has made it clear he wants to complete a switch to Old Trafford and handed a transfer request in last week.
However, the Red Devils are reluctant to stump up the cash to meet Tottenham's valuation of the player. They previously had a £20million bid rejected.
Now United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is believed to be turning his attention to a cheaper option elsewhere, with Dutch strike ace Klaas-Jan Huntelaar top of his list.
Blackburn's Roque Santa Cruz, Lyon's Karim Benzema and ex-Arsenal forward Thierry Henry have also been linked with the Premier League and European champions this summer.
