SUNDERLAND boss Roy Keane has dismissed Arsenal's title credentials after his Black Cats side held Arsene Wenger's men to a draw at the Stadium of Light on Saturday.

It took a stoppage-time Cesc Fabregas header to cancel out Grant Leadbitter's stunning late effort and Keane believes Wenger's team is not capable of living up to the squad of old.

Having pitted his wits against the very best the Gunners had to offer – the likes of Patrick Vieira and Tony Adams – in years gone by, Keane questioned whether there were enough 'characters' in the Frenchman's side to challenge Chelsea and Manchester United for the title.

“Every team has its different characters and different dynamics," said the Irishman.

“They are still a good team but different to the one I played against. It was different characters. There is no Keown, Adams, Vieira.

“I have a different outlook to my team now than when I first walked through the door and that’s only been two years. They are a different type of team. Look at Fabregas. He probably wouldn’t be a great tackler but by God he can deal with the ball.

“They can challenge. If Arsenal can’t challenge what hope have we got? The four teams we know about will finish in the top four.

“But will Arsenal finish first? I don’t think so because I think Chelsea and United are stronger.”
