TOTTENHAM will avoid the big sides in the UEFA Cup group stages after they were seeded in Pot One for the draw.

Spurs, who have made their worst start to a league campaign since the year the Titanic sunk 96 years ago, will not have to face the likes of AC Milan, two-time cup winners Sevilla and current La Liga leaders Valencia after they were drawn amongst the top seeds in the competition.

It is a small boost for under fire boss Juande Ramos, whose team will also avoid the other three English sides left in the competition – Aston Villa, Manchester City and Portsmouth.

The draw takes place on Tuesday at 11am.
