SPURS boss Juande Ramos will today discover the seriousness of his striker crisis as he awaits the results of a scan on Roman Pavlyuchenko's ankle, after the forward limped off during the side's 1-0 defeat to Hull yesterday.

The Russian forward was replaced by Darren Bent, as Spurs failed to break Hull's stubborn defence and were confined to their worst league start since the year the Titanic sank in 1912.

If Pavlyuchenko is ruled out for any length of time, that would leave Ramos with just on-loan signing Frazier Campbell and the mis-firing Bent up front.

However, the team have the luxury of two weeks off, with the international break filling the schedule this week, buying the Spaniard some valuable time as he seeks a solution to the club's growing problems.
