TOTTENHAM defender Gareth Bale believes his side are doing all the right things as they continue their long search for their first Premier League win of the season.

Spurs have now made their worst start to a league campaign for 96 years following the 1-0 defeat at home to Hull at the weekend. But Wales international Bale insists there is enough evidence to suggest that the team are on the right track and that elusive win is not far away.

“I think we played well as a team and created a lot of chances, but we just can't seem to get the ball in the back of the net at the moment," Bale told the club's official website.

"But the fact we do seem to be playing better as a team suggests that win will come sooner rather than later.

"I think the key in these games might be to score the first goal because that could settle us down so we can play our own game instead of chasing all the time.

"We're just going to keep working hard in training and see what happens. We'll come back from the international break refreshed and ready to go.”
