SPURS midfielder Didier Zokora has lent his support to under-fire boss Juande Ramos, and like most of his team-mates, believes the side will turn the corner when that elusive first win eventually arrives.

Tottenham remain rooted to the foot of the Premier League with just two points to their name from seven games, but Zokora is not concerned by the threat of relegation, insisting that is 'impossible', while he has also maintained that Ramos is the right man to lead the club out of their slump.

"When we win a game I'm sure the confidence will come back," the Ivory Coast international is quoted as saying in The Mirror. "I'm a very ambitious player and never think about relegation - for me that is impossible.

"When Ramos came in, we won the Carling Cup and the team beat Arsenal 5-1, but at the moment it is difficult for him as we have only got two points.

"The manager wants to help and give motivation to the players and the team. He was still positive after the game as we worked hard and had opportunities to score.

"I want to play well for Tottenham and the chairman will make a decision on the team. That is not my job.

"At the start, people were saying we could make the top five or six but now that is very difficult."
