WALTHAM FOREST men continued their solid start to the season with an explosive first half display that put them on the road to a comfortable victory over local rivals East London.
It took ten minutes for the Douglas Eyre outfit to open the scoring. Marcus Web squeezed the ball across a scrambled East London box to Adam Greenwood, who dispatched into the bottom corner.
Soon after the hosts were rewarded for some excellent attacking play with a short corner. The well-drilled set piece saw Greenwood send a rocket shot into the goal.
Forest’s fluid system continued to open up East London at will.
Another well-worked short corner created enough time and space for Chris Brown to hit a beautiful first time shot into the corner.
This was shortly followed by the best goal of the day, Da Silva's easy tap-in rounding off a neat move involving Brown and Phil Peacock.
Things ran to a stalemate after the break, although East London did manage to build up some decent pressure and hit the post - but Forest had already done enough for victory.
They travel to Chelmsford on Saturday.
