Manor youngster awarded for his effort

ATHLETICS

ETON MANOR'S young athlete Antoni Spooner became the clubs Jack Petchy award winner for August to September.

The under-15 star was recognised for his efforts and contributions to the team, and his commitment to the sport.

Although he has several mobility difficulties, the youngster is always first to volunteer to have a go, enjoys running and throwing, and turns up regularly forcoaching sessions.

The teenager asked that his award be spent on disability throwing aids to help other young members with disabilities.

Spooner was presented with his award by Pam Ackland-Snow, one of the founder members of Manor's young athletes team.
