ILFORD golf club’s men’s Mail On Sunday National Golf Club Classic team progressed to the third round of the competition after a comfortable victory over North London rivals Highgate.
The team of Ian Morgan, Charlie Finn, Tommy Costello, Mark Durrant and Mick Ryan triumphed 4-1 to book their place in the draw for the third round.
Meanwhile, Paul Richardson and Tommy Costello won the Beharrell Cup, after they edged out Ian Morgan and Mick Wheately on countback.
The Juniors Young Masters Trophy was won by Jack Bulley with a nett 58, playing off a handicap of 14. Jack Davies won the division two title.
