Central League Play Off Final
WINNS triumphed in the Central League Play off final defeating fellow Walthamstow school, Mission Grove at the Douglas Eyre Sports Ground.
The two opposing teams reached the final after comfortable semi final wins and the opening exchanges were even. However Winns took the lead are a mazy run and goal and doubled their advantage from a free kick.
Mission Grove got back in to the match just before half time, when another mazy run and goal saw Mission Grove cut Winns lead in half. The second half saw Winns up the ante and they added two more goals following defensive errors. The game was played in the right spirit with good football played by both teams.
Mr Smith, the Winns teacher was pleased with the performance from his players on the day.
