THERE were gold medals galore for the Gators at the London Regional Age Group Championships held in the Olympic size pool at Crystal Palace.
Local swimming club Borough of Waltham Forest SC came away with 11 championship titles. Five golds went to Amrita Robertson (10) for 100 & 200m fly, 200 & 400IM and 100m free.
Tommy Willis (12) took a trio of golds in the 200m back, 400IM and 1500m free. There were two gold medals for Nathan Leong (11) for the 100m Breast and 200IM.
Stephanie Malcolm (13) achieved first place in the 100m Backstroke. Four swimmers achieved National Qualifying Times – Amrita, Nathan, Stephanie and Poppy Hill.
Sanaa Akbar, Ella Augustin, Joshua Burcombe, Kianu Kitching and Arjun Robertson also picked up various medals, while David & Elizabeth Hare, Emma Hasler and Matthew Whyman all made finals. There were also PBs for Jeremy Nockels and Eris Crawford.
