LOUGHTON AC finished third out of the seven teams at their first Southern Mens League Division Four fixture of the season.
Gurm Sahans bagged two first places in the hurdle events, over 110m and 400m.Tony Babbs, Brett Underhill and James Ryan showed good form in the middle distance events, while John McCabe, Paul Gilbert and Shaun DeSouza Brady scored good points in the sprints. Cliff Warren showed flashes of his old form as he returned from injury in the long and triple jumps, while team captain Gavin Harper competed in several events, plugging a number of gaps in the team sheet.
