NEWHAM boxer John Dignum certainly likes doing things at the double, as the identical twin scooped his second Four Nations title in Cardiff at the weekend, writes Peter King.
The 14-year-old (right) ,who has already won his second National Golden Gloves title this season, scooped the class 2, under-44kgs title for England for the second year running at Willows High School.
In the semi-final Dignum easily saw off Scottish rival Harry Barrett with a storming 15-2 victory after dominating throughout with some good combinations.
The final, against Ireland's Maurice McCann, was a little closer although working well off the jab Dignum secured a 15-10 verdict after the three rounds.
Delighted Newham coach Bernie Miller said: "John has done England proud again. He boxed very well and showed that he has a real hope of going to the Olympics if he continues to progress."
