Clapton 0
Dorking 3
(Ryman Two)

CLAPTON ended a miserable season with a comprehensive defeat to in-form Dorking on Saturday.

The visitors had won five from their previous seven games going into Saturday's meeting at the Old Spotted Dog.

Falling behind to a quickfire double just after the half hour, Clapton never looked like troubling their visitors.

Clapton worked hard but looked unambitious in their approach and it came as no real surprise when Kevin Terry fired Dorking into the lead on the half-hour mark.

Seven minutes later Justin Georgiou netted a spectacular 25 yard goal to make it two and give Clapton a real mountain to climb after the break.

Dorking's level dropped in the second half and goalkeeper Stuart Baverstock was called into action to make a couple of saves late on.

But the visitors did add a third three minutes from time when Georgiou latched on to a Steve Coyle cross to finish with a goal.

The Dorking striker almost completed his hat-trick moments later when he failed by a matter of inches to meet a Terry cross.
