FOREST Athletic women, the combined team of Eton Manor and Orion Harriers, won their team event at Hemel Hempstead while the men's team achieved a respectable fourth place at Watford.

In the senior women's match, there were wins for Nekita Akintade and Alicia Burton in the pole vault, whilst Akintade also won the 400 metres hurdles with a personal best time.

There were also wins for Pam Ackland-Snow and Kate Merritt in the hammer competition.

Daniela Sale won the 3k with a time of 10:05.2 minutes, whilst Jo Stroud also won the B race.

In the 1500m, Janet Williams took fourth in the A string Jo Stroud gained third in the B string.

The 200m saw Natalie Kipps and sister Rebecca secure second and third places respectively whilst Akintade and Lizzie De-Asher both earnt second places in the triple jump.

In the girls U15s, Sinead Butler won the 100m in 15.0 seconds whilst Felicia Davies was second in th B string.

Butler teamed up with Carina Stroud, both winning their long jump events. In the shot putt, Laura O'Connor was second in the A string whilst Jessica Kipps won the B string.

In the discus, Carina Stroud and Holley Bibbey gained first A and second place B respectively.

The 200 metres saw Jessica Kipps and Barbara Solo finish third and second place respectively. In the 75m hurdles, Felicia Davies and Barbara Solo both finished in second place.

A limited men's squad hampered by injury finished fourth out of seven teams.

In the 100m John Mahon finished fifth in A string whilst Jim Dawson took fifth B string.

In the 200m Rory Vanhorn gained third place in the A string, whilst John Mahon ran a season's best 26.1seconds to take third place in the B string.

The 400m saw Danny Moses take second place in the A string and Phillip Chittock ran 82.3 seconds in the B string.

In the 800m Danny Moses earned second place in the A string and Rory Vanhorn recorded 2:17.0seconds in the B string.

In the 1500m Jonas Theto took first place in the A string recording 4 minutess 44.7 seconds and Jim Dawson ran well enough for second place in the B string.

The longest and most successful race of the day was the 5000m in which Shay Joyce and Jonas Theto both won.

Joyce clocked 16:47.0 in the A string and Theto ran 17.06seconds in the B string.

In the A string Devon Douglas contested all the throws, finishing fifth in the hammer, third in the javelin and third in the both the shot putt and discus.

In the B string John Mahon finished third in the hammer, Jim Dawson came second in the javelin and fifth in the shot putt and Phillip Chittock threw 15.15m in the discus.

The jumps saw Rory Vanhorn and Devon Douglas team up to take third place in the A string and second place in the long jump.

In the triple jump Vanhorn claimed second whilst Douglas cleared 10.13m for the B string.

Vanhorn also teamed up with John Mahon in the high jump.

Vanhorn taook first place with a club record of 1.60m and Mahon came joint second in the B string.

The team were unable to field a team in the 4x400m through injury and endured a disappointing 4 x 100m.
