SITTING VOLLEYBALL
AN exhibition tournament of sitting volleyball is set to be held in east London next week.
The Morgan Stanley disABILITY taskforce has organised the event to help raise the profile of the game.
It will also be used to assist local side London Lynx in its development towards the 2012 Paralympic Games.
The tournament will be held on Thursday, May 29 at the Canary Wharf Reebok Centre.
A practice session, where visitors can try out the sport, kicks off the event at 5.15pm. Refreshments will be available.
During the day, a Morgan Stanley volleyball team will play against the Lynx team, while there will also be an Allstars team which will include Division One volleyball players who haven't played the sitting version of the game before.
Sitting volleyball is a fast and exciting game to play and to watch.
It is particularly suited to people with lower limb disabilities but is also played by any who do not have a disability.
