Bancroft looking to get back to winning ways
BANCROFT's coach has called on his players to banish their President Shield semi final exit woes and blow away away Essex One strugglers Millwall on Saturday.
The B's crashed out of the Shield against Dagenham last weekend. Their league form has stuttered too, where two straight league defeats have left them eight points behind the league's top side and put paid to any faint promotion hopes.
Bancroft coach, Steve Baker called on his players to play with pride and reverse the slide.
He said: "We have to turn things around and salvage a bit of pride in the season, andbe ready to push on next year."
Millwall go into the encounter with a win last Saturday under their belt against Upper Clapton. Bancrofthave not tasted victory sinceJanuary.
Prosser put this down in part to factors beyond his control. "We have lots of injuries" he said. "There will be changes asseven of the first team squad are missing. But we will be up for it."
The omens are good for Bancroft. A comfortable 31-19 victory the last time the pair met should buoy them.
"We are not happy about losing three gameson the trot," Prosser stated."Weseem to havelost confidence, perhaps because we are a young team. We could do with agood victory."
