Bancroft and Clapton are ready for derby action

| Action from one of the derby encounters between the sides last season |
BANCROFTand Upper Clapton clash on Saturday with each team scrapping hard at opposite ends of Essex One.
Steve Baker's Bancroft side are keen to secure fourth place, and have a faint chance of nabbing third from Ilford Wanderers if results are favourable. Upper Clapton concerns are more pressing. Steve Prosser's team are battling to save face after a woeful spell which has seen them drop down the table to third bottom.
Bancroft brushed the Thornwood outfit aside 45-10 when the sides last met in December.
Despite Bancroft's eminencein ties between the pair,Baker is wary of under-estimatinghis struggling opponents.
He said: "We have had the beating of them in recent matches, and had a good win over them last time.
"They are a good sidewhichhas been a bit unlucky. It is never an easy place to go. They are physical up front and strongin other areas. Theycanbe tricky prospect. We do notwant to suffer a typical end of season upset."
The B's prospects will be buoyed by a full squad, something of a rarity this season.
But Upper Clapton boss, Steve Prosser believes Clapton can spring a surprise come the weekend.
He said: "Wehave had a couple of weeks off and are now raring to go. It gives us a bit of impetus. The players are looking forward to it.
"We should be able to hold them off. We have a reasonable side. We hope to get the points off them and are confident because being at home givesus a bit extra."
