LOUGHTON skipper Duncan Kaye has no fear of facing league leaders Thames on Saturday, despite his side sitting at the wrong end of the Essex Two table.
The Hornbeam Road outfit, who lay in seventh place on just four points have lost their last four matches in the league including a 17-3 defeat at Old Cooperians in their last outing.
But while the weekend's visitors secured a 51-8 earlier in the campaign, Kaye believes a good training session this week and home advantage may work in their favour.
He said: "This league is really all about winning your home games and while we haven't really done that this season I believe we can give a much better account of ourselves on Saturday.
"In our last game at Old Cooperians we played really well, but just couldn't put the points on the board. We have however trained well this week and should have a strong team to pick from.
"Of course we know they are top of the table for a reason, but Thames only really play a forwards game which we have been working on combating this week."
