Clapton face a tough task at Maldon

| Action from when the sides met in September at Thornwood |
UPPER Clapton boss Steve Prosser believes the trip to promotion favourites Maldon is as good an opportunity as any to reverse a run of poor results.
Speaking ahead of Saturday's clash, Prosser said: "We will try and play like we did against Writtle where we played the better rugby and a lot better than we have done of late."
Clapton arewithout a win in five games, and have managed only one draw in that time. The Thornwood men have sunk to third bottom ofEssex One,but look certain to avoid the drop thanks to East London's woeful form.
By contrast, Maldon havewon six of their last seven games and stand at the summit of Essex One. They also won the previous encounter between the two sides 7-32 at Thornwood earlier in the season.
Prosser has some ideas on how to approach the match. He said: "We will keep it close for the forwards and stay tight at the back.
"We have good running backs such as Tom Roberts, who adds speed and strength. "There's no reason why we can't run them close. We do have the ability, but we should have more confidence in it."
