LOUGHTON will be looking for revenge when they take on Pegasus Palmerians in Essex Two this weekend.

The Hornbeam Road outfit failed to register a single point when the teams last clashed in December, losing 0-17.

Recent matches have proved equally gruelling for Loughton, with no wins from the last five games.

This slump has left them second bottom of the league with six points. Despite this, the team is safe from relegation because basement club Witham have minus two points.

The Palmerians have endured an equally disappointing campaign, and share the spot with Loughton on points, but have conceded fewer points.

They have managed one win from the last five.

Loughton skipper Duncan Kaye will be without a host of first team players and the holes will be plugged with youngsters.

Despite this he is confident that Loughton have the tactical nous to pull off a win and push on towards mid table.

He said: "Training has been going well, butitis frustrating that we cannot field our strongest team. It has has happened a lot this season, we've been able to pick from a full squad about twice.

"We have good backs, and play best when we get the ball to them quickly from the breakdown. Palmerians have big forwards, so it should be an interesting clash."
