| Phil Howell |
THE STAKES are high for Chingford this weekend as they take on title rivals Tring.
The game could be central in the season run in as only a single point separates the two teams. Tring currently stand top of London Two North, with Chingford in third on points scored difference.
Tring's markedly inferior points scored differencemeans everything is ripe for change.
Fielding a full strength side, The Waltham Wayers will be looking for revenge after coming off second best in the previous encounter in September. It ended 21-14.
Chingford coach Phil Howell said: "We are hoping to keep all our players on the field on Saturday. Last time there were periods where we played with 14 and then 13 men, and they got all their points then.
"But we also made silly decisions, and respect tghem as a class outfit."
Howell is confident his side have what it takes. "We have not been beaten at home for a long time, and we broke theirunbeaten home record last season," he said.
Hecalled on thelocal community to turn out and supportthe Waltham Wayers.
He continued: "Tring bring a very hostile crowd with them, so we'd like to see a lot of home support on Saturday."
