Howell knows nothing other than a win will do for Chingford

| Action from Chingford's win over Letchworth in December |
CHINGFORD boss Phil Howell knows it is win-or-bust for his troops at Letchworth Garden City in their quest to secure London Two North promotion.
The Waltham Way outfit remain in third spot going into the penultimate weekend of the rugby season, and will either need league leaders Tring or second placed Staines to slip up to secure the all important top two finish.
With Tring just edging Chingford 3-0 in a close contest a fortnight ago to move three points clear of the long-time league leaders, it is more likely that the Waltham Way boys will peg back Staines now.
They themselves slipped up a fortnight ago following a surprise 17-5 defeat at Ruislip, that leaves them only just above Chingford on points scored difference, with the sides all square on 32 points each following 16 wins apiece in the league.
The points margin separating the sides is a massive 100 points, so Howell is fully aware his side will have to win both games and hope for a Staines slip up.
Talking ahead of the clash at fifth placed Letchworth, he said: "After the Tring defeat we know we need to win both our games and hope one of the others slips up.
"I thought we were very unlucky against Tring because we scored a couple of tries that the ref didn't give because he was unsighted.
"That has cost us heavily especially after Staines also slipped up. But we will keep fighting and will go to Letchworth looking to win.
"It is never an easy place to go though, and while we beat them 33-0 at our place earlier in the season I'm sure it will be another very close game."
