Sven-Goran Eriksson this week added weight to the old story that Roman Abramovich very nearly bought Tottenham Hotspur back in 2003 before opting for Chelsea instead.
Under Abramovich's leadership, Chelsea have gone on to win three Premier League titles and a Champions League trophy but in the context of an erratic merry-go-round of expensive players and nine different coaches.
In the same time, Tottenham have made much less spectacular but steady progress under the stewardship of Daniel Levy. Spurs have gone from regular mid-table mediocrity to consistent challengers for the Premier League's top four but have only won one League Cup along the way.
Do you wish Abramovich had chosen Spurs in 2003?
