PETER Crouch was left frustrated after Spurs were locked out by Aston Villa, on Saturday.
There was more joy for visitors Villa, as the contest ended scoreless.
“It was one of those days at White Hart Lane” rued the lofty forward.
“Everyone was willing the ball in, but it wasn't to be. We had all the play, a lot of chances and the crowd was fantastic."
Crouch was convinced Spurs should have won the match, as Villa boss Martin O’Neil heaped praise on his defenders afterwards.
“At times it was every man to the pump. It's been a great effort and against a very strong Tottenham side" he said.
Spurs are battling for fourth spot in the Premier League table.
This draw means they stay in fifth place, after missing the chance to climb above Liverpool.
