A NEW Spurs starlet is in a race against time to understand what Harry Redknapp is on about.

Sandro Ranieri Guimarães Cordeiro is learning the English language ahead of his £6.5m move from Sport Club Internacional, in Brazil.

The 21 year-old better swot up on east London slang too, for when he arrives this summer.

"I’ve been learning for a month and by the summer I hope that I will be well advanced with the language” he said.

The defensive midfielder buried himself in an english dictionary during a recent flight too.

"I need to be prepared for my new challenge in Europe and it’s always better to know the language and understand the orders properly" he told the Daily Mail.
